WHO WE ARE

GalaStudio is an experimental laboratory in the field of Art & Science, bringing together Israeli artists, scientists and technologists.

Through interdisciplinary dialogue and opportunities for community building, GalaStudio encourages contributions to the cultural environment of Israel as well as international relations and contacts with the organizations sharing a similar mission.
Due to its historical features, Israel brings together artists and scientists – immigrants from different countries with a diverse cultural and creative background. The high-tech status of Israel calls for a cultural landscape that reflects this.

GalaStudio is a Platform that is an infrastructure and space for :

  • Visual art projects that explore and suggest their vision of the future of AI
  • Events and Conferences to support the discussion
  • Creating a social hybrid network between humans and AI avatars
  • Collection of a Big Data

We create the conditions for acquiring the experience of mutual understanding, mutual adjustment, with an alien object (or person) that is not identical or similar to you .

OUR VISION

A wide variety of forms can be found in contemporary art. Traditional painting (oil on canvas) coexists with New Media Art, Science-art, NFT-Art, etc. In metamodernism, one cultural model implies an infinite number of polar cultural manifestations.
Whenever something radically new emerges, it is always accompanied by a fear of the future. It is clear that new technologies are developing far faster than human consciousness, which is usually inert and full of fears of uncertainty.
However, the consciousness eventually "catches up" and absorbs what previously caused denial. Art history proves this.
We are sure that AI does not destroy art, but complements it extraordinarily.
By challenging the individual, it sets a precedent for the analysis of creativity as such and expands our understanding of ourselves.
We can say that we ourselves become, as it were, part of the Generative Adversarial Neural network (GAN), acquiring the opportunity for “deep learning”.

OUR MISSION

One of the crucial challenges facing the modern civilization is the question of where the scientific and technological progress is taking us. Are human beings capable of understanding the world that they themselves have created?

We are making our contribution to the process that will enable humanity to transition into the future by accepting it and overcoming the fear of artificial reality.

We believe that humanity can overcome the difficulties, provided that people learn to accept the new reality which they themselves have created.

The field of the artist's activity is a sphere of consciousness, and that consciousness is both private and public. By founding the relationship between the "living" and the "artificial" on the principles of mutual understanding and partnership, we will ensure a healthy future for humanity. As artists, we feel a responsibility for solving these tasks.
